this sat nav screenholder I ordered to replace the one I got with my sat navonly prob the charge socket is obstructedI had to turn it around other wise very good

I broke my garmin while windsurfing the strap pin attachement broke so had to buy a new one leaving me with a working but useless garmin, but not any more! I now have it attached to my bike and it's great, I had to buy the larger diameter bar attachment which i got on here too but that was a minor thing! clips onto the same bits as the charger adaptor.

I have 2 of these (lost the quick release bracket - my fault, not the product) and can confirm that it works perfectly well with the Forerunner 301 also. Kit is secure and allows your Garmin to be positioned on your bars so you can see data clearly as you cycle and negates the need for any other bike computer.

Amazon seem to have a problem with Garmin kit and describing the compatability. This item works well with the 101 too. (foretrex and forerunner). The bit that straps to the bar is solid and the gps holder is fine too, although you need to make sure there is enough space to operate the release catch.

Very pleased with this item, used it on a couple of long trips already and it is very simple to use and worked extremely well. Saves on the hastle of carrying loads of cd's and having to change them whilst driving. It does what it says it will.

After buying a used car with an old radio cassette player, I needed a solution for playing mp3s rather than paying to have a whole new radio/CD/mp3 unit installed. I researched the options including cheap-looking, plasticky, cassette-based devices which had a wire hanging out to connect to your iPod. The reviews were all a bit hit-and-miss for these, and I nearly gave up.
Even though I searched Amazon for a solution, it didn't come up with the right answer so I tried my favourite search engine, which directed me to an in-car audio specialist with a huge catalogue of items. (I forget their name now.)

There were various options and reviews available but I was on a budget (ideally under £50). The website had this Dexim unit on sale and with good reviews. The price was OK, but I came back to Amazon to search for the DFA003B.

Sure enough it had been on Amazon all along, even though I had used various search terms before! The price through an Amazon seller was cheaper, delivery was prompt and the gizmo arrived well-packaged.

Some of the reviews I read before buying it complain about the unit having a limited range for transmitting the iPod's music output to your car radio, which is true. So - if it's for use by your kids on the back seat who want to play the iPod through the car stereo, it won't be much good as they will be too far away for the signal to reach the radio. If, like me, you just want to have the iPod somewhere near your dashboard so the driver and front passenger can operate it easily, then it's great.

When you first use the unit it shows an FM frequency on its display (e.g. 87.3Khz) to which you then have to tune your car radio. Once done, you can set this frequency on one of your radio preset buttons and you probably won't have to re-tune again unless you travel a long way. Hasn't been necessary for me yet, on trips of up to 200 miles.

The only small issue I have found (mentioned in some reviews) is that there may be occasional break-up of the signal between iPod and radio in some areas, just as you would get with a radio: maybe in a tunnel or a built-up area, for example. But I have found it quite rare and it only lasts for seconds so not a problem.

Finding an iPod holder for your dashboard is another issue, as different holders fit some dashboards better than others. I now have a small rubber non-slip mat (something like the one here Non Slip Dashboard Grip Mat) which I can use in 2 or 3 different places to hold the iPod on the dash or centre console.

The unit comes with a lead to connect to a cigar lighter when the iPod needs charging through the Dexim unit. Essential if you are on long journeys. Otherwise, as long as your iPod is charged before you set off, the lead isn't really necessary.

The Dexim unit can also be used at home with a portable radio and it works fine there, too. Saves you buying an iPod dock unit if you have a decent radio and want to play your mp3s through it!

Before buying this particular product I reviewed all the other similar devices from other manufacturers. This one had the best reviews. I would say it looks good and feels robust and does work, but there are limitations. The sound is not totally clear ever - so you do hear some hiss, but only in the quieter parts of tracks. Also, as you are tuning to a vacant FM frequency you will find that on a long journey there may be actual radio stations that broadcast on that frequency. I haven't found a frequency yet that is always "free" so I do have to retune the car radio and reset the device to broadcast on a different frequency. This is a limitation of the technology it uses, not this actual device - but be aware it's not a perfect solution for using your iPod in the car.

I've used the case now for over 3 months (for tom tom 730t) and to me it does the job perfectly.It looks good and seems to be made out of durable material,the zip has not been any cause of concern,The charger also does the job well and the adaptors make it easy to use abroad.
I paid for this one and think it's worth every penny.

I have been using this case to a 530T since December and found it durable and easy to use. The charger and adaptors are OK too. It charges after an hour or so if it runs low when not connected direct for in car use.

It came free with the Tom Tom which is great. The case in the accessory pack would have been great if the zip hadn't broken so early in its' life. I can't be bothered returning it as it's more trouble than its' worth. Unless your getting it free don't waste your money.
